The invention relates to a method for production of a gas mixture comprising hydrogen, from a suitable feed gas comprising hydrocarbons, in a reformer, whereby at least a part of the feed gas is diverted before entering the reformer and supplied to at least one secondary reformer and the feed gas in the secondary reformer is brought into contact with a nano-structured catalyst and the essentially CO- and CO<SUB>2</SUB>-free exhaust gases from the secondary reformer are either combined with the gas mixture comprising hydrogen exiting from the reformer or are supplied to the reformer. The use of said method for the production of high-value technical particulates, nano-onions, nanohorns, nanofibres and/or nanotubes, adhering to the catalyst and a device for the production of a gas mixture comprising hydrogen from a suitable feed gas in a reformer (1), comprising a supply line (a) with a hot steam line (b) opening out thereon and an exhaust line (c), are disclosed. |
