Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a positive electrode containing a positive electrode mix, a negative electrode containing a negative electrode mix, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The negative electrode mix contains a material capable of adsorbing and desorbing Li and a carbon material. The material capable of adsorbing and desorbing Li contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of Si and Sn, and the carbon material content is 3-60% by weight of the negative electrode mix. A lithium perfluoroalkylsulfonimide represented by the general formula (1) below is contained in at least one of the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The weight ratio of the lithium perfluoroalkylsulfonimide to the weight of the carbon material is from 10<SUP>-3</SUP> to 10.
