<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive unit capable of radiating internal heat even when the disk drive unit is a slim type or when the rotational frequency of a disk is low. <P>SOLUTION: The disk drive unit has a case composed of a top cover and a bottom cover, a disk tray capable of moving between a loading position and an ejecting position by a guide mechanism provided on the bottom cover, a spindle motor and an optical head which are mounted on the disk tray and can move together with the disk tray, a disk tray pushing-out mechanism which pushes the disk tray out toward the ejecting position, and an ejection lock mechanism which holds the disk tray at the loading position, and while the spindle motor and optical head are driven, a portion of the front end of the disk tray is held at a projection position where it projects from the case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
