<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saved locking mechanism for limiting rotation of a rotary shaft transmitting rotation on a steering wheel side to a steered wheel side. <P>SOLUTION: This locking mechanism 50 limiting rotation of a main shaft 60 transmitting rotation on a steering wheel 2 side to a steered wheel 3 side comprises a key groove 62 annularly provided with an axis of the main shaft 60 as a center, a locking key 70 rotatably arranged inside the key groove 62, and a locking device 80 rotating the locking key 70 in a groove width direction of the key groove 62. The key groove 62 has an engaging part 64 with a groove width partially formed large, and the locking device 80 can hold a rotation angle of the locking key 70 between a locking angle for engaging the engagement part 64 with the locking key 70 and an unlocking angle not for engaging the locking key 70 with the engagement part 64. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
