LUBRICATING OIL FOR MACHINING COPPER PIPE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF COPPER PIPE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil for machining copper pipes that assures excellent moldability and leaves a small amount of remaining oil after annealing in drawing working or form rolling. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil for machining copper pipes is one for machining a copper pipe composed of copper or a copper alloy. The lubricating oil comprises as an additive 5-40 wt.% of an alcohol. The remainder comprises a base oil comprising one or two or more polyisobutylenes having an average molecular weight of at least 30,000 and one or two or more isoparaffins or polyisobutylenes having an average molecular weight of at most 100.
