PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce stain caused by mist since resolution is increased in a recent inkjet recording apparatus, the amount of ink mist is increased since the ink discharge amount is increased compared with a low-resolution inkjet recording apparatus, and the resolving power of an encoder is increased. SOLUTION: Airflow is generated in a recording unit by sending, via an air duct, the discharge air of a suction fan for sucking a sheet onto a platen surface to the recording unit in which ink mist is floating.
