PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage device that eliminates the need for a dedicated nonvolatile memory for storing an address conversion table and that increases the speed of sequential reads. SOLUTION: When writing data in HDDs 12 to 14, a CPU 10 causes data to be stored in a DCD area 15 as stripes by means of LFS. In this case, information about the correspondence between logic addresses and physical addresses and time stamp information are added to the stripes whereby it is possible to construct the address conversion table from the information. Further, the data are shifted from the DCD area 15 to a normal storage area 16 when no write or read command is input. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
