PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement an information display device which has the convenience as a substitute for paper. SOLUTION: An information display device 1 has an information carrier 10 including a storage-type display panel 14 and a processing unit 20 including a battery 27 constituted as separate members and has the processing unit 20 connected to the information carrier 10 to be able to perform desired processing in response to the necessity of performing processing such as update of information displayed on the display panel 14 and operation to displayed information. Therefore, a configuration of functions other than a function which is essentially necessary as a display device like "paper" and maintains "display" can be disconnected from the information display device 1 during normal use.
