PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively producing pyran compounds highly including the cis isomer having a strong lily-like smell in an industrial scale. SOLUTION: The perfume ingredient is mainly composed of a pyran compound including the cis isomer represented by formula (1) (wherein R is a 1 to 10 C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, the wave lines show the cis or trans configurations) wherein the content of the cis isomer is 70 to 95 wt.%.
