PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen gas generating apparatus which can raise the pressure of nitrogen gas while maintaining the sealing performance of a compressor. SOLUTION: The gas separating apparatus 1 is constructed by an air compressor 2, a dryer 4, and an adsorption unit 9. Wherein a booster 46 is connected to the subsequent stage of the adsorption unit 9 via a humidifier 42. When the gas separating apparatus 1 discharges nitrogen gas that is dried by using the dryer 4, the booster 46 compresses the nitrogen gas that is supplied with moisture through the humidifier 42. Thereby it is able to boost the nitrogen gas while maintaining the sealing performance of the booster 46. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
