The invention relates to a tightening device (10; 210) for tightening strings of a racket which is provided with at least one string or at least one string to be tightened and is embodied in the form of a tennis, badminton and a squash racket or the similar, consisting of a handle (12; 212) to be held by a user and a string tightening part (16; 216) which is torque-transmittingly connected to the handle (12; 212), wherein the string to be tightened is locked in the string tightening part (16; 216) and is tightened by the rotation thereof with respect to the racket by means of the handle (12; 212), the string (24; 224) is supported by a bearing surface extending in the circumferential direction of the string tightening part (16; 216) and, during the string tightening, the tightening device can rest directly on the racket by means of the string tightening part (16; 216) and/or of the bearing part (217) opposite to the string tightening part (216). |
