<p>Sustained release vitamin preparation. The present invention relates to a solid sustained release vitamin unit dose for oral administration, comprising a blend of a matrix material and an effective amount of at least one active ingredient comprising at least one vitamin. The matrix material comprises at least one material selected from the group of a cellulose derivative, an acrylic or methacrylic acid polymer or co-polymers of those, modified gelatin or a blend of two or more of these materials, to provide a sustained release effect of the at lease one active material for a time period of from about 8 to about 24 hours and in that the at least one vitamin active ingredient is present in an effective amount to render a desired effect.</p> |
