MICROORGANISM OF GENUS CORYNEBACTERIUM HAVING ENHANCED L-LYSINE PRODUCTIVITY, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING L-LYSINE USING THE MICROORGANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism of the genus Corynebacterium having enhanced L-lysine productivity, and to provide a method of producing L-lysine using the microorganism.

SOLUTION: This L-lysine-producing Corynebacterium microorganism whose inherent NCg 12053 dihydrogenase gene has been inactivated by a mutagenesis caused by the insertion or deletion of one or more base pairs into or from a dihydrogenase gene, or by a mutagenesis caused by the transition or transversion of one or more base pairs for introducing a nonsense codon into the gene, and which produces lysine. The method for producing L-lysine comprises culturing the microorganism and then recovering the L-lysine from the culture product.
