<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized current sensor to be used for detecting the magnitude of current and provide a current value computation system having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The current sensor 10 to be used for detecting the magnitude of current is provided with two magnets 14A and 14B provided for the vicinity of a bus bar 12 and a magnetoresistive element sensor 16 for detecting the vector direction DA of a resultant magnetic field vector VA between a magnetic field generated by a current flowing through the bus bar 12 and magnetic fields by the magnets 14A and 14B. The a magnetoresistive element sensor 16 is arranged at a midpoint between the magnet 14A and the magnet 14B. It is possible to determine the magnitude of a magnetic field vector VE of the magnetic fields due to the current on the basis of the vector direction DA of the resultant magnetic field vector VA.
