PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phototherapy system which compensates drawback of a conventional fluorescent tube type phototherapy system, is compact and light-weight, can be carried, and enables a local irradiation of a dermatological disease lesion alone by a combination with a photographing system, and to provide a phototherapy method.

SOLUTION: A semiconductor ultraviolet ray-emitting element is prepared. A predetermined ultraviolet ray is formed and oscillated from the semiconductor ultraviolet ray-emitting element, and a lesion area is irradiated with the ultraviolet ray to treat the lesion area medically.
