QUALITY-OF-SERVICE (QOS) PROVIDING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MPLS TRAFFIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality-of-service (QoS) providing apparatus and method for MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) traffic.

SOLUTION: The present invention involves: extracting a label (Label) and EXP (Experimental) contained in an MPLS packet inputted to an MPLS network system; inputting them to a preset hash function to generate at least one hash value; and applying a QoS policy to an MPLS session corresponding to the generated at least one hash value to forward the MPLS packet. Thus, the present invention enables the quality-of-service (QoS) to be guaranteed for forwarding of an MPLS packet input to the MPLS network system.
