<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an optical scanning device used in a laser printer or the like has a high rotational speed of a rotary polygon mirror due to a recent demand for high speed printing and uses a drive motor with a large heat value, which lead to control failure and the adverse effect on the accuracy of an optical scanning system required for high precision and composed of a plastic member, and that if an image forming apparatus, such as a toner cartridge, is disposed near the optical scanning device, caking of toner, unstable printing quality, and so on are caused. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor is disposed near an optical scanning device.
