<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an effect of a compliance change of a cuff on pulse wave components. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic sphygmomanometer 1 is so formed that a tank 5 of a fixed volume is directly connected to the cuff 4 to be wound around a measurement portion and a cuff system is constituted of the tank 5 and cuff 4. The pressurization by the pump 7 or decompression by a valve 8 are executed for the cuff system whole body. The compliance change rate (a rate of a compliance value in low pressure to a compliance value in high pressure) of the tank 5 is smaller than the compliance change rate of the cuff 4. The compliance change rate of the cuff system whole body can be thus minimized so as to suppress the strain of the pulse wave due to the compliance change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
