<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator which can separate a broken module in a plurality of modules connected to each other by a common header from the remaining modules in a system. <P>SOLUTION: A gas flow separator is equipped with a (module) separation valve turnable from an open state to a closed state. In one embodiment, the (module) separation valve is equipped with a breaking disk for connecting with the flow of a gas during the open state of the separation valve. When a prescribed pressure difference occurs across the breaking disk, the breaking disk is broken to close the separation valve. When the breaking disk is not damaged, the separation valve is mechanically connected to the breaking disk to keep the open state, and when the breaking disk is broken, the separation valve can be turned into the closed state. In another embodiment, a crushable member maintains the separation valve at the open state, the flow of a gas passing through the separation valve compresses the crushable member to close the separation valve when the breaking disk is broken. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
