PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin material suitable for use in a frame for fixing a flat panel display, a frame for fixing an FPD made of the resin, a resin material which does not contain a chlorine- or a bromine-based flame retardant, is not liable for warping, has a smooth surface and suitably used for a frame for fixing an FPD, and the frame for fixing an FPD. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises 40-99 wt.% of an aromatic polycarbonate resin and a flat-cross sectional glass fiber having an average length of the major axis of the cross section of 10-50μm and an average ratio of the major axis to the minor axis (major axis / minor axis) of 1.5-8 and used for a frame for fixing an FDP. Preferably it contains a fluorine-containing anti-melt drip agent and a flame retardant. Particularly, the resin composition is suitable for use in FPD-fixing frames the sizes of which are 200-800 mm in the short side and 300-1,300 mm in the long side. Further, it is most suitable for the frames, particularly the frames for fixing LCD's with a thickness of the inner edges of the frames for mounting FPD's of 0.3-1 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
