PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration element capable of concentrating a liquid sample in a system without using a concentration element separately installed outside, and a chemical analyzer equipped with the concentration element. SOLUTION: The concentration element is equipped with the flow channel formed on a substrate, the solvent separation layer installed in contact with at least a part of the side surface of the flow channel and the solvent holding layer installed through the solvent separation layer. The chemical analyzer is constituted so as to perform chemical analysis using the liquid sample and equipped with the concentration element and an introducing means for introducing the liquid sample into the concentration element.
