PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a simplified bathing apparatus to be made into a state in which a person with disability and a care receiver can easily enter a bathtub and into a state in which he or she has bath appropriately by rocking the bathtub on a vertical plane and to be made extremely compact. SOLUTION: The reclining mechanism for the simple bathing apparatus comprises: a bathtub support frame B including a movable frame part B<SB>2</SB>for freely rockably supporting a bathtub body A<SB>1</SB>on the vertical plane; a first shaft C<SB>1</SB>having a screw shaft part 20; a second shaft C<SB>2</SB>having a screw receiving part 23 for threadably supporting the screw shaft part 20 and a shaft storage part 22 into which the first shaft C<SB>1</SB>is loosely inserted; and a motor 25 which is freely rockably supported by the bathtub support frame B in response to the screw movement of the first shaft C<SB>1</SB>.
