PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling truck which ascends/descends stairs by relatively small force, enhances safety during ascending/descending of stairs, and suppresses impact to a load-carrying platform even in an accident by an operation error. SOLUTION: The truck is provided with a mechanism for varying a distance between a front wheel and a rear wheel; and a mechanism for fixing the front wheel and the rear wheel to an arbitrary distance by operating the expansion/contraction near a handle. The truck is also provided with an auxiliary leg moderately contracted by receiving load from a leg part positioned on a lower side of the stair in descending on the stair in a stair descending direction. The truck is also provided with an auxiliary wheel for suppressing retreating of the truck, on a lower end of the auxiliary leg while the weight of the truck is loaded to at least the auxiliary leg.
