The additional seal for a coffee bag type coffee beverage maker uses an elastic food-compatible rubber (2) which matches the individual coffee bag (3) construction of different coffee machines. The seal is shaped to fit into the recess in the drawer (6) of the coffee machine to seal against the peripheral lip on the coffee bag when engaged by the pressure plate (4).
