The cleaner (10) includes a front housing (12). A swivelling nozzle (16) is pivotably attached to a bottom portion of the front housing. A latch (76) is mounted on the nozzle for reciprocating movement along it. At least one latch aperture is provided in the bottom portion of the front housing. The bottom portion can include two latch apertures placed at 90 degree from each other. The latch may include a finger engaging portion for ease in operator manipulation. The latch can have a pair of upper and lower engaging tabs and the nozzle may include a pair of upper and lower spaced guiding slots extending axially along the nozzle. The engaging tabs can be received in the slots to mount the latch to the nozzle. The latch can be curvilinear in cross-sectional shape between the tabs. The curvilinear shape is resiliently deformed slightly when the latch is mounted on the nozzle to thus maintain the tabs elastically in the guidance slots and the latch fast with the nozzle.
