<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which is improved in display quality of color mixing etc. and a manufacturing method thereof, and a display device which has the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed are the color filter which has a pixel groups of a plurality of pixels of two or more colors on a substrate and also has the pixels isolated by a dark-color isolation wall, the shape and OD of the dark-color isolation wall satisfying (1) and (2) mentioned below, the dark-color isolation wall being formed by exposing and developing a photosensitive composition layer, and the pixels being formed by dripping a colored liquid composition; the manufacturing method thereof; and the display device having the color filter. (1) A value b/a is 0.5 to 2.0, where A<SB>1</SB>and A<SB>2</SB>are intersections of the substrate and dark-color isolation wall, H is the highest point of the dark-color isolation wall, G is the leg of a perpendicular from H to the substrate, L<SB>0</SB>is a straight line passing H and parallel to a substrate surface, P is an internal division point of HG (HP: PG=1:3), L<SB>1</SB>is a straight line passing P and parallel to the substrate surface, B<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>2</SB>are intersections where L<SB>1</SB>crosses the section of the dark-color isolation wall, (a) is the distance between A1 and A2, and (b) is the distance between B<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>2</SB>.
