<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing sponge rhodium of high quality by the steps of reducing rhodium in an ammonium hexachlorinated rhodiumate solution with formic acid, collecting rhodium black at a high yield and further baking the rhodium black under a reductive atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: The method for collecting rhodium as the rhodium black at a high yield of 98% or higher includes an operation of reducing and collecting rhodium by adding formic acid into the aqueous solution of ammonium hexachlorinated rhodiumate to reduce the rhodium compound and filtering rhodium, wherein the amount of formic acid to be added is an equivalent weight of 2.5 to 5.0 with respect to a theoretical amount necessary for reducing rhodium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
