PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instantaneous current measuring method for measuring an average current value of an instantaneous current by using a relatively inexpensive circuit constitution. SOLUTION: A current detecting section 1 detects the current on an electrical path. A current signal detected by a CPU section 3 is sampled at an interval of 488μs. The average current value is calculated and found by adding absolute values of the sampled current over 100 ms, stored in a storage section, and displayed on a display section 4. When the average current value is calculated, the CPU section 3 adds a current sampled value at each sampling, subtracts the oldest sampled data of 100 ms ago, and always updates the average current value.
