PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving inexpensive straight line movement device with a guide rail capable of being easily fixed to a base without removing a moving body while allowing easy adjustment or maintenance work for the guide rail at its fixed position after fixed. SOLUTION: The straight line movement device A comprises the guide rail 2 to be fixed to the base 10 with a plurality of fixing members 6a, 6b, 6c, and the moving body 4 for moving along the guide rail. The guide rail has a plurality of mounting holes 8a, 8b, 8c which pass through the guide rail, which are communicated with fixing holes 10a, 10b, 10c of the base, and through which the fixing members are inserted. The moving body has at least one through-hole 18 which passes through the moving body, which can be communicated with the fixing holes and the mounting holes, and through which the fixing members are inserted.
