PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detent spring for holding a select lever of an automatic transmission capable of being positioned or fixed in an automatic transmission case only by fastening a bolt. SOLUTION: A positioning part 19 is formed in a base part 13 of the detent spring 12. The bolt 23 is inserted into the base part 13 of the detent spring 12, and is screwed and fastened in an attachment boss part 22 of the case 20, and thereby, the detent spring 12 is rotated to the fastening direction of the bolt 23, the positioning part 19 is abutted to an inner wall 21 of the case 20, the rotation is regulated, and the detent spring 12 is positioned.
