PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear structure capable of supporting a pinion gear by a carrier rotatably and allowing use of the pinion gear molding a tooth shape by plastic working without applying cutting work to it. SOLUTION: A helical tooth shape of the pinion gear 3 is molded by cold forging press working by using a helical tooth shape die, and a flat abutting face 15 is molded on an end face of the pinion gear 3 by coining. The pinion gear 3 is rotatably supported on a planetary carrier 2 by a pin 6, and a thrust washer 8 is provided between the planetary carrier 2 and the abutting face 15. Diameter D of the abutting face 15 is set to be larger than outside diameter d of the thrust washer 8, and thickness T of the thrust washer 8 is set to be larger than height H of burr 16 caused between a tooth bottom of the helical tooth shape and the abutting face 15 at cold forging press working time. Consequently, the burr 16 does not interfere with the planetary carrier 2 to support the pinion gear 3 rotatably. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
