PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake controller capable of increasing the turbocharging capacity of an engine at low rotational speed in a supercharged engine in which a first exhaust passage is reduced in volume more than a second exhaust passage. SOLUTION: The portion of an exhaust system for connecting an engine body to the turbine of an exhaust turbocharger comprises a first exhaust passage composed of independent exhaust passages guided from ones of even number of cylinders having firing order of odd number or even number and a collective exhaust passage formed by collecting the downstream parts of the independent exhaust passages and a second exhaust passage composed of independent exhaust passages guided from the remaining cylinders and a collective exhaust passage formed by collecting the downstream parts of the independent exhaust passages. In the supercharged engine in which the first exhaust passage is reduced in volume more than the second exhaust passage, the first exhaust passage has intake control valves 16, 17 capable of adjusting the distribution of intake air. The intake control valves 16, 17 control the intake air so that, when the engine speed is low, the distributed amount of the intake air to those cylinders #2, #3 corresponding to the first exhaust passage 20a is larger than that to those cylinders #1, #4 corresponding to the second exhaust passage 20b.
