PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a chapter at a position at which the reproduction of a title being reproduced is stopped when another tile is reproduced during video recording to stop the reproduction of the title to be reproduced. SOLUTION: When the reproduction of a title is stopped during video recording, a setting value for "ON/OFF" of a stop automatic chapter, which generates a chapter at a position at which the reproduction of a title to be reproduced is stopped, is set, and the set setting value of the stop automatic chapter is stored. When the reproduction of the title is stopped, a chapter is generated at a position, at which the reproduction of the title to be reproduced is stopped, based on the setting value of the stop automatic chapter, to stop resuming "ON".
