PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption to be increased in increasing a capacity in a storage device charged according to its capacity. SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with first information showing the capacity and conductive status of each physical disk and second information showing correlation between physical disks and each storage region of each logical disk, and when newly preparing a logical disk in response to a request from a user, the storage device prepares the logical disk by preferentially using the storage region of the logical disk in the conductive status.
