PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer luminescent material that emits lights of various colors from green to red and has a long drive life and an organic electroluminescent element that is produced by a simplified production process, actualizes enlargement of an area and has excellent durability and to provide a display. SOLUTION: The polymer luminescent material comprises a polymer containing a structural unit derived from an iridium complex represented by general formula (1) (R1-R8are each independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent group; X1is a hydrogen atom or the like; at least one of R1-R8and X1is a substituent group containing at least one polymerizable functional group).
