PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new monomer capable of producing a resin having high refractive index and utilizable for lenses for glasses, camera or the like, prisms, optical fibers, optical pick-up lenses for DVD, small-sized lens for personal digital assistances having photographing function and further, members such as prism sheets for LCD, optical waveguides and diffusing sheets, and sealing agents for light emitting diodes. SOLUTION: New trithiacyclopentane ring-containing di(meth)acrylates represented by general formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; n is an integer of 0-3) have high refractive index, high chemical and optical stabilities.
