PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an enteral nutrient for gastric fistula, which is a nutrient suitable for a nutrition method through gastric fistula, having high viscosity of≥6,000 mPa s, hardly causing a water phase separation by long-term preservation in spite of having been retort-treated. SOLUTION: The method for producing a retort-treated enteral nutrient for gastric fistula, having product viscosity of≥6,000 mPa s comprises homogenizing and finely emulsifying a coarse emulsion, in which a thermally gelatinized starch is uniformly dispersed, by a high-pressure homogenizer, packing and sealing the emulsion in a state in which the viscosity of the emulsion after fine emulsification and before packing is≤2,000 mPa s and retort-treating the resulting product.
