A rheumatoid agglutination test reagent, which can be used for detecting rheumatoid factor in whole blood as well as serum, and which demonstrates excellent results with respect to its sensitivity, reproducibility in the detection, comprising a buffered saline of a pH 7.5 +/- 1.5 wherein are contained proper amounts of gamma -globulin coated resin particles formed by combining an ion-exchange resin with human gamma -globulin in the said solution and one class of assistant selected from the group consisting of hemolytic agent and coloring agent which can color the said gamma -globulin, method for preparation thereof and a diagnostic method of using some.
