The loading opening for the washing items is closed by a door with a basically frustrated conical (14) glass centre bowl (7) to prevent clothing being isolated on the flexible coupling between the mobile drum unit and the machine front panel. To also prevent such items being isolated on the conical door bowl various adaptations are devised, one of which, here described, has a partially helical land (18) extending from (12) near the rim (8) and the crown (9).
