A drawer 12 is slidably supported in a frame secured by a single bolt 30 to the underside of a cupboard or shelf, the drawer 12 carrying on each side 49 a pair of longitudinally spaced tubular cams 55, 56 slidably engaged in respective upper and lower, parallel inclined tracks 57, 58 in side walls 13 of the frame, the upper track 57 being closed by a flange 20 at its front end, and the tracks 57, 58 having associated angularly connected branch tracks 64, 67 which are open ended so that the drawer 12 may be removed from the frame by combined upward tilting and forward movement so that the cams 55, 56 pass out of the open ends of the branch tracks 64, 67. In normal use the drawer tilts downwardly as it is withdrawn to a position in which the forward cam 55 engages a bumper 63 at the front end of the upper track 57. The securing bolt 30 is engaged through the centre of a transverse, metal reinforcing channel 16 extending beneath a cross rail 15 of the frame between the side walls 13 of the frame. Levelling screws 37 have rubber bumpers 42 which bear on the surface from which the frame is suspended. Lugs 70 on the drawer hook over extensions 72 on the walls 13 to hold the drawer in a closed position. |
