FIELD: wood-working industry, in particular, equipment for rotary peelers. ^ SUBSTANCE: the knife assembly, has knife carriage heads, knife beam and clutch beam installed between them, the respective beams carry a peeler knife and a solid-state clutch. The knife assembly is installed for turning about the axis of turn aligned in parallel with the longitudinal axis of the peeler knife and clutch. The assembly is provided with an actuating mechanism for adjustment of the angular position of the knife assembly relative to the position of the knife carrying heads about the axis of turn in accordance with the veneer peeling procedure. The angular position of the clutch relative to the peeler knife in the knife assembly may be changed during peeling for central of the angle between the clutch and the peeler knife. ^ EFFECT: enhanced quality of the veneer obtained at peeling. ^ 2 cl, 5 dwg |
