FIELD: combustion. ^ SUBSTANCE: device comprises casing with cooling jacket connected with the cooler and member for supplying plasma-generating gas, members for supplying igniting fuel, and electrodes, which are arranged in the operation zone inside the casing. The electrodes are mounted for permitting movement between the operation position and cooling position. The operation zone of the casing is provided with openings for discharging coolant from the cooling jacket. The number of openings for discharging of the coolant is no less than the number of the electrodes. The member for supplying plasma-generating gas is made of a pipe, and the electrodes and openings for discharging of coolant are arranged over circumferences whose centers lie at the axis of the pipe. The diameter of the circumference of openings for discharging coolant ranges from 1.1. to 10 of the diameter of the circumference of electrodes. To provide cooling, the electrode is positioned in the zone located at a distance of half difference between the diameters of the circumference of openings for discharging coolant and circumference of electrodes.
