A system for managing underground facilities with polarity of magnetic markers is provided to prevent safety accidents, which occur in excavation works by disagreement between design and engineering, by measuring a change pattern or variable of earth's magnetic field caused by the magnetic marker attached to the underground facility, and precisely detecting a buried position of the underground facility. A sensor part(10) detects only the pure distorted magnetic field offsetting the earth's magnetic field by arranging at least two magnetic vector sensors(12,13) capable of detecting a direction of the earth's magnetic field in parallel. A microprocessor(22) converts the direction/intensity of the detected distorted magnetic field into a detection value, and stores/displays the detection value in a character, numeric, or graphic form. The magnetic marker is made of a magnetic body, and comprises an upper and lower part. The lower part has a curved structure for getting a central position of the magnetic body orthogonal to the ground surface. The magnetic polarity is marked on the magnetic marker. |
