A damper structure of a drum type washing machine is provided to dually absorb vibration by using a frictional member and a spring, thereby remarkably reducing noise and vibration. A damper structure of a drum type washing machine includes a tube and a piston. One end of the tube is connected to a tub and an interior space is formed in the tube. The piston is reciprocally operated in the interior space of the tube. The damper structure includes an upper hanger(36), a lower hanger(44), and a elastic member(50). The upper hanger protrudes from the outer surface of the tube. The lower hanger protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the lower piston in correspondence to the upper hanger. The lower end of the elastic member is supported by the lower hanger and the upper end thereof is supported by the upper hanger. The elastic member is a spring. |
