There is provided a movable barrier operator comprising: a first sensor input 25; a second sensor input 26; and a logic unit 24 being operably coupled to the first and second sensor inputs and having: a first selectable manner by which to move a movable barrier in a predetermined direction; a second selectable manner by which to move the movable barrier in the predetermined direction, which second selectable manner is different from the first selectable manner; and a selectable manner output that provides a selected selectable manner control signal as a function, at least in part, of both the first and second sensor inputs.
