An electrophoresis display device and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance display quality of the electrophoresis display device by preventing afterimages and/or an image burn-in. An electrophoresis display device includes an electrophoresis panel and a voltage difference applying unit. The electrophoresis panel includes first and second substrates(102,120), and first and second charged particles(117,118). The first substrate includes plural signal and scan lines, and plural pixel electrodes. The second substrate includes transparent counter electrodes(122). The first and second charged particles have a first color and polarity and a second color and polarity, respectively. The voltage difference applying unit includes first and second units. The first unit supplies first and second frame groups corresponding to the first and second colors to respective screens. The second unit applies voltage differences corresponding to the first and second colors to the respective pixels and between the transparent counter electrodes.
