A lens group located in the vicinity of an aperture stop is constituted of two partial groups, and image shift is carried out by shifting one partial group thus avoiding size increase of the lens group including the shift group. Furthermore, sufficient performance can be ensured by ensuring a sufficient interval between two partial groups without increasing the size and by moderating sensitivity to tilting of axis.
