<p>In water cooling apparatus for wire in a rolling mill, consisting of cooling modules in series, each with two supporting shells (TS) receiving wire guiding elements and coolant supply channels, the supporting shell consists of a pair of plates (PO, PU), located in holders (TSHO, TSHU), connected by a hinged joint (SA) and opposite to groove(s) (LN). Rods (SKO, SKU) inserted in the grooves have side channels (LR), forming coolant channels and ducts (DG) for the wire. Water cooling apparatus for wire in a wire rolling mill, consists of cooling modules arranged in series in the wire movement direction. Each module comprises a pair of supporting shells (TS), locked together and receiving wire guiding elements and coolant supply channels. The novel feature is that the supporting shell consists of a pair of plates (PO, PU), which are located in supporting shell holders (TSHO, TSHU) and connected by a hinged joint (SA). The plates have opposite longitudinal groove(s) (LN) running parallel to the hinged joint axes, with opposed openings. Rods (SKO, SKU) are inserted in the grooves and have longitudinal channels (LR) in the side surfaces, forming opposite coolant guiding channels and duct channels (DG) for the wire.</p> |
