<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of preventing a malfunction of automatically transiting to a reception state of a facsimile original through incorrect detection of a signal component similar to a facsimile start signal as the facsimile start signal during a phone speech with an opposite party and automatically transiting to a state of a facsimile original reception within a possible range while preventing the malfunction. <P>SOLUTION: A communication apparatus for detecting an OFF signal of a CNG signal while making a speech via a master unit or slave unit 31 (S1, S2: YES, S5: NO) is considered. When a signal of a voice level is detected via a facsimile start signal detection section 28a, the detected signal is discriminated to be greater than the threshold stored in an EEPROM 18 (S12: YES) and the signal of the voice level is discriminated to be within the range of a voice band frequency (S13: YES), the signal is not discriminated to be the OFF signal of the CNG signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
