The worm-wheel 13 meshes a worm on the output shaft of the wiper motor. The cover 14 is adjustably secured to the housing 11 by screws 25 passing through arcuate holes in the cover, whereby rotation of the cover 14 with respect to the housing 11 varies the backlash between the gears.
